SPOTS
To begin with, Uruguay is located in the southern part of the Atlantic coast and the coastline is 600 km long. If you subtract seaports, city beaches and a few rocky headlands - all this is a 500 kilometer spot.
You can ride a kite anywhere, except that you can't go where you don't want to, on a wing in general, wherever it is deeper than a meter. In addition to ocean sports, all rivers and streams when flowing into the ocean form wide lagoons with smooth water. Sometimes they are several kilometers in size.
Nevertheless, kiters and wingfoilers have chosen several places where they have created minimal infrastructure or simply gather on the principle of "having more fun together".
We will give a brief overview of the spots of the Maldonado department, where we are located ourselves. All of them are no more than half an hour's drive from your likely place of residence, and if you're lucky, then within walking distance.
There are no lifeguards on Uruguayan spots, but they are not needed. You can always find a spot with safe conditions :)
